Eikellegimaa is a not-for-profit organisation based in the southern Estonian countryside.

Our events and workshops promote more sustainable living and stronger community.

The forest is our setting and chief educator.

Mission

Our mission is to create a productive and adventurous space for present and future generations to use as a self-resilient, educational open farm!
This involves:

growing, foraging and cooking delicious responsible food
   creating resilient food forest landscapes
   eco-building creative spaces
   connecting like-minded people and skill-sharing
   offering therapeutic experiences in nature
living with a stronger connection to our environment, and one another

As our location is a ( peaceful and beautiful ) barrier to many, we will attempt to maintain some online content so that our excitements and failures are lessons for more than just ourselves!

How we pursue the mission!
As much as possible we aim to create, experiment and learn in the company of collaborators, volunteers, groups, clubs, friends and family. This allows us to further social cohesion and community resilience into a future with growing challenges. Through sharing and learning we can all be the richer, regardless of whether the task of the moment falls short of its goal!

Vision
Our vision is to manage an open farm and workshop space that offers many pathways for all to connect with nature and each other.

Why we do what we do
A future Estonia needs great examples of diverse, climate-adaptive  food production ecosystems.
It needs
examples of collective spaces where the knowledge and skills of all benefit all.
It needs reduced consumption, and increased understanding of our natural environment.
It needs simple, cheap, free, local, DIY alternatives to our current living behaviours that can address our changing climate and environment. Eikellegimaa intends to contribute to the trial and error process required to achieve such examples!

This space includes
Diverse habitats for wildlife, some domestic animals and human visitors
A regenerative, resilient food forest producing food, medicine and habitat with minimal human maintenance
Diverse gardens, enacting permaculture and other approaches to growing
8 hectares of forest
Therapeutically designed trails and constructions to encourage forest-bathing and introduce Forest Therapy to newcomers
